JOHN LEWIS CHRISTMAS - GLORIA AND PICKLES
Don’t Give Up On Giving.
Everyone loves their grandkids. And most grandparents would do anything to feel a little closer to them. Except most can agree that they’ve absolutely no idea what seven-year-olds are into these days. So, when in doubt, a bit of cash in a card feels like the safest bet.
Well, not this year. Not for Gloria (played by Kristin Scott Thomas), who, with a little help from her favourite childhood toy dog, Pickles (voiced by Paul Whitehouse), discovers there's a little more to giving than sticking some cash in an envelope.
This one was eight months of blood, sweat and tears. And we'd do it all over again. A proper career highlight, and one we're ridiculously proud of.
Written by George and me, together with Simon Cheadle.
Directed by the brilliant Lucy Forbes.
